For too many leaders the knee-jerk reaction to “We have a problem” is “Let’s have a meeting.”
Sometimes the meeting happens in-person. At other times, some or all the participants are remote and the meeting happens via a video service.
Whether in-person or virtual, these are both synchronous forms of communication. That means the meeting happens in real-time.
There are plenty of times when there’s a big benefit in having a meeting, but there are just as many, if not more, times when you can accomplish the same goals by collaborating asynchronously.
If you’re wondering what going async might look like, I’ve created a short explainer video.
Need help building an async collaboration culture? I’m ready to jump in and lend a hand.
